After selecting the “Continue the Recall” option, you will find yourself in a giant tree village. This is the first area in the story mode of the game. This area comes with enemies that you all need to defeat. Sea of Trees will also introduce you to several actions in the game, such as climbing ladders.
To start the mission, activate the Beacon and rest. While resting, the game will introduce you to leveling up your stats. This is where you also upgrade Corvus’ talents. As mentioned in the previous walkthrough, we recommend getting Saber Attacks Lv2, Long Claw Lv2, and Healing Execution Lv1 (for healing). But again, it still depends on you.
Resume the game if you’re all set. Defeat your first enemy, residing after you cross the bridge. After killing the enemy, go to the left side of the area and defeat the next enemy. Continue to the left area and pick up the first consumable in the area. After picking it up, get back on track and defeat another enemy after crossing another bridge.
There are three enemies in that area and two notes. The first note can be spotted in plain sight. This is the Tattered Twilight Circus Recruitment Ad.
While the other one is behind the barrels where you defeated the third enemy. This note is the Village Elder’s Manuscript 01.
After picking up the two notes in this area, climb the stairs that can be found on the left side near the bridge where you defeated the first two enemies. Upstairs, you will find two enemies. As usual, defeat them. There are two notes that can be picked up in this area. It will be on the table where the tough enemy is patrolling. This note is the Twilight Circus Poster.
The other one can be found after you cross the bridge hidden behind the shack. Destroy the fence and you should see a bridge. Just follow the patch and you should see the Tree Blessed’s Manuscript note waiting for you. Below is the fence that you need to destroy.
From that very same area, you can go downstairs and save your progress in the Beacon. This will also give you some time to upgrade and level up your attributes. After leaving the Beacon, you will be able to meet the enemies that you defeated earlier. While you can easily pass through them, we still recommend that you defeat these enemies.
Proceed to the main path until you meet the four new enemies. Defeat these enemies in the area to proceed. There are also two notes in this area. Both of them are stuck on the walls. One is the Twilight Circus Recruitment Ad and the other one is the Tattered Twilight Circus Recruitment Ad. After examining these two notes, you can proceed to the next area by climbing the ladder.
Due to the posion that is leaking from the poison sac, you may get yourself killed if you move slowly. You have two options to pass through this part. You can either destroy the object or quickly climb the ladder. We recommend that you destroy it since there’s a collectible in this area. If you destroy it, look for the barrel on the right side and destroy it to collect the collectible.
After taking the collectible, climb the ladder and deal with the enemy after the gate. Just follow the path and take down all the enemies. You will once again find yourself in the presence of poisonous smoke. There are lurking enemies out there. Lure them out of the poisonous smoke and kill them. Again, destroy the poison sac to make things easier before climbing the ladder.
Note that there’s a hidden ladder behind the barrels. Destroy the barrels, climb the ladder, and obtain the note called Village Elder’s Manuscript 02. Once done, climb the main stairs near the poison sac to continue the main story.
After climbing the two ladders, you should be able to find the second Beacon in Sea of Trees. Make sure that you activate the Beacon and have a rest to save your progress. You can also upgrade your attributes and other needed things for the mini-boss fight.
Now that you’re ready, go back and head inside the circus tent where a hammer-wielding mini-boss is waiting for you. This mini-boss’s attack is quite strong, but his movement is really slow, which you can take advantage of. We recommend that you check all of his attacks first to avoid any critical damage. Also, keep in mind that this mini-boss also has a critical attack, so be attentive to using your Feathers.
After defeating the mini-boss, you should now unlock the Potion Menu, where you can craft and use potions with different effects.
Before we proceed, make sure to loot all the item drops from the mini-boss. You can also find a memory in the same area. Retrieve it and go back to the Beacon to save the progress. Inside the Beacon area, there are also two notes that you can examine. They are both stuck on the wall of the shack.
